Dignity Drive

We are a charity, aiming to give those in need the dignity they deserve. Twice a year, in March and August, we ask the public to donate pads, tampons, period underwear, incontinence pads, menstrual cups etc. to our Dignity Drives across the country. We have collection points in all Woolworths stores and a number of other nominated businesses. We donate thousands of packets of unopened period products to our partner charities to help those doing it tough.

March 2021 Dignity Drive!

Since Share the Dignity was founded, we have been able to donate 2.8 million period products to those in need through our Dignity Drives and #ItsInTheBag campaign. Your generosity has changed the lives of so many across Australia and we are so thankful. We donate thousands of packets of unopened period products to our partner charities to help those doing it tough. From people experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, and those living in crisis. We believe everyone experiencing period poverty deserves the right to their dignity.

The Dignity Drive will begin on the 1st March 2021, if you cannot hold on to your product donations until March, please post them directly to us: PO Box 345 Sandgate QLD 4017.

What period products do you accept?

We accept period products including pads, maternity pads, incontinence pads, new reusable pads, tampons, period-proof underwear and menstrual cups. We collect this variety of period products so everyone receives their preferred item and can be empowered to take control of her period, their way.

All donations must be brand new, still sealed in their original packaging and must comply with Australian quality standards. We do this because no one should have to choose between a tampon and a meal.

When you donate period products to Share The Dignity, you’re donating to a charity that directly supports those in need. You’re giving someone experiencing homelessness or financial crisis the essentials, so they don't need to choose between food and dignity. The idea that people around the country are using socks or toilet paper instead of period products needs to change and we need your help.

Next time you’re doing your shopping, keep in mind: one for me, one for them.
