Why host a Glam for Good party?

We all know how busy life can get, whether it’s babysitting the grandkids, juggling business, work and looking after your family or trying to keep your house running. When it comes to prioritising time out with your loved ones to take a break, down tools and have some fun it can often be the last thing that we are marking down in our calendars.

Glam for Good parties are the perfect opportunity to get everyone together, mark that date in the calendar (that you’ve been meaning to for a while), and make it a get-together that will also have an impact, not only for yourself in the much needed time out but for the women and girls that Dress for Dignity can continue supporting through the fashion items that are listed and sold on our pre-loved fashion marketplace.

How you and your friends can sell some unwanted items, and help other women!

The parties are simple, ask everyone to pick an item or two from their closet that they are willing to let go. Get together, glam up and feel good, and use the party as an opportunity to laugh, list your items, and give love and kindness to yourself and those you will be supporting.

At your get-together you will have some fun, take some photos wearing or holding the outfits you are all ready to let go, to be used when listing the items on our Dress for Dignity website. The proceeds from Dress for Dignity go directly back to Share the Dignity.

What is Dress for Dignity?

Dress for Dignity is a hub which connects sellers of pre-loved fashion, and the eco-sustainable shopper, facilitating all sales within the platform.

As a seller you can list your items in just a few minutes and opt to keep up to 80% of the sale funds yourself with the remainder being donated to Share the Dignity, and you will receive a tax-deductible receipt for the value of this donation amount also.

When your item sells, we have made it super easy for you to get it to the buyer. You will receive an email with a pre-paid mail label (paid by the buyer) and all you have to do it pop your item in any wrapping or satchel and attach the label, then drop into any Australia Post mailbox.

Alternatively you can pop into any Australia Post branch with the email and they will print the mail label for you.
