How your bags will help...
After fleeing domestic violence, Essie was isolated, without funds, and struggling to find housing for herself and her 11-month-old baby. After calling service, after service, it felt impossible but then Essie received an It's in the Bag which changed everything.
The bag contained all the essentials she needed, removing the stress of figuring out how to afford basic items. In her bag, was a hand written note that reminded her that someone, even a stranger, truly saw and cared for her. For the first time in a long while, Essie felt hope.
