For your donation to be matched, your donation must be made via the Sponsor a Bag Matched Giving website from 9 am AEST Monday 1st December 2025 until 9 am AEST Tuesday 2nd December 2025 or until the dollar matching pool is exhausted. The maximum single donation to be matched is $1000.

Now with the click of a button, you can still make a difference by sponsoring a bag online. Our incredible volunteers will pack your bag with care, and then deliver them to our charity partners to distribute to those in need.

Our 3,000+ charities partners request more than 200,000 bags each year. With the rising cost of living, housing crisis increasing, and worsening domestic violence rates these women and girls need your support more than ever.

Who it helps

Your donation helps women like Essie

After fleeing domestic violence, Essie was isolated, without funds, and struggling to find housing for herself and her 11-month-old baby. Asking for help felt impossible but receiving an It's in the Bag changed everything.

The bag contained all the essentials she needed, removing the stress of figuring out how to afford basic items. In her bag, was a hand written note that reminded her that someone, even a stranger, truly saw and cared for her. For the first time in a long while, Essie felt hope.
