91% OF MENSTRUATORS EXPERIENCE SOME LEVEL OF PAIN ASSOCIATED WITH THEIR PERIOD.

For many, this can be debilitating, forcing them to miss school, work, sport and social activities.

The average menstruator misses 6 days of school or work every year due to their period, most from period pain and/or a fear of leaking.

For those who don't menstruate it can be challenging to understand what someone is going through when they have their period. Which is where we come in - let's learn together!

72% of teens have missed sport because of their period

SUPPORTING TEENS

Our 2024 Bloody Big Survey highlighted the systemic issues which effect teens who menstruate from participating in school, sport and social life. We found that on average teens are missing 6 days of school per year due to their period - this jumps to 10 days per year for First Nations people.

We believe that education is the first step to making lasting change, so by understanding what they are going through you can better support them in breaking down the barriers which can hold them back.

You can make a real difference in your teens life by encouraging them to participate in initiatives such as the period talk education program, the creating period pride competition, and the Eco Period Club.
