My Updates

Day 21 - 177 km

Wednesday 21st Oct
We are now three weeks in to our #Move4Dignity team challenge here at Scone Medical Practice.  I’m starting to think about the #itsinthebag drive - I have bags ready to pack, and a cupboard full of things I’ve collected throughout the year.

I’ve just completed today’s run, adding 6km to my total. I’m on track for my goal of 220km for the month. This weeks runs have mostly been in the cool of spring mornings, but I did have one particularly unpleasant run in the heat of the afternoon.  A good reminder to get up, lace up and get out for a run (after the obligatory banana).

Day 14... two weeks in

Wednesday 14th Oct
Week 2... 114km done! I’ve had some lovely runs this week. I lost and found my sunglasses, and had the most amazing run around the waterfront in Newcastle... watching the sun rise over water and the smell of salt water reminded me that I am a saltwater woman!

Day 7

Wednesday 7th Oct
Today is Day 7 of move for dignity. It’s been an interesting week - my first run coincided with a storm - lightning and thunder overhead, wind and  some pretty decent rain for about a km of my run.

This week I’ve completed my longest run at a little over 15km. We also did a family ‘run’ as the evening settled complete with flashing shoelaces!

After this mornings run I’m sitting at 56.9km for the month.

Last September run done...

Wednesday 30th Sep
Ok, I’ve just completed my final September run... total for September was 213km. I’m going to update my Move For Dignity run target to 220km!
My Share the Dignity tights are all ready to go tomorrow, and I’ve got a special family run planned for the weekend to kick things off.

On your marks...

Tuesday 15th Sep
With a little over 2 weeks to go until the start of move for dignity, it’s time to reflect on my goal. Two months ago 160km in a month seemed like a big stretch... but after some very solid weeks of running (and the additional push of doing run against violence) I know that I can push a bit harder! Updated goal... 200km of running for the month of October
