Thank you for your interest!

Through the spirit of generosity, kindness and collaboration our volunteers not only help thousands of people each year. We love that this also means our volunteers build connections and friendships with other like-minded volunteers in the Share the Dignity community.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us, you are nearly there. Please read through the following information and click 'Finish my Application' at the bottom of this page.

We need you!

All you need to be a Shero or Hero is the willingness to donate your time. To participate in the picking up and delivering of sanitary items and It’s In the Bag donations, our volunteers need to be able to comfortably lift and carry bags of donations.  Having access to a car is a bonus. However, there are other ways volunteers can help if they are unable to participate in this way.

You don’t need to be IT savvy, we will walk you through it all:  You just need to have a bit of patience and perseverance at the start while we get you up and running.

Volunteering

Volunteer Structure

Our Volunteers are managed at a State level by our Volunteer State Team Leaders, they are supported by a group we call Queens or Coordinators. You will find a very active online community excited to welcome you onboard.

Upon joining, you will be contacted by the Volunteer Queen in your state or territory, who will help you get settled in. Down the track, after you have volunteered for a while, you might want to put your name forward for a Queen/Coordinator role, but there's no pressure!

We'd love to have you on board as a volunteer with Share the Dignity to help us end period poverty!

Please note

For insurance purposes, we currently are unable to accept volunteers under the age of 18. For younger people interested in supporting Share the Dignity, we encourage you to look at our website for ideas on how you can help – maybe your school would like to hold a collection during one of our Dignity Drives or IITB.

Please note we are currently unable to provide volunteer positions within Share the Dignity that meet the requirement for Centrelink participation of 15hrs per week.
